Deschutes Public Library has commenced on the construction of a brand new 3 story library building on the 9.37-acre parcel in east Bend. It will house an approximately 100,000-square-foot library, which was part of a $195 million bond issue approved by voters in November 2020. Environmental Controls Corporation has been selected as the BMS provider for this showcase library project for Deschutes Library. 

 

The architectural firm designing the Central Library at Stevens Ranch is the Miller Hull Partnership, and the contractor is Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company. Construction is expected to progress into 2026, with a public grand opening in mid- to late-2026.
