Environmental Controls approach to service is very simple: employ highly skilled technicians, train them thoroughly and treat our customers with respect.
Our Service Team is comprised of experts in both intelligent building controls and HVAC mechanical equipment. Service technicians receive monthly safety training, as well as additional safety training through their local union affiliation. While at your work site we are dedicated to a safe workplace and continually promote a safe work environment.
We employ union electricians and pipe fitters that can repair or replace any piece of mechanical or electrical equipment, as well as start-up and commissioning to ensure precise operation. Our Installation department purchases parts in large quantities, allowing us to pass the savings on to our service customers.

Emergency service calls are addressed immediately. Our service technicians carry cell phones for prompt and direct response to your urgent problem.
Our unique capability of having automated work order dispatch system allows us to provide both quality and efficient customer service. ECC service technicians are equipped with wireless laptops, providing easy access to factory information, the internet, and our work order system. Remote diagnostics and emergency on-site services assure continuous system operation.
We offer a wide array of service and training packages that make the difficult job of managing your facility easier. We customize each and every package to meet each owner's individual needs. We can use the allotted time for maintenance and repair of controls and equipment, as well as training your personnel on-site. Our service agreements include the following:
Remote Monitoring
ECC can monitor your site from our office using software designed for system alarm logging. Preset alarm messages will dial-out from the remote site to the ECC terminal and be responded to accordingly.
System and Service Log
ECC will provide you with a service log for documenting concerns, questions, and other related items requiring our attention. Each scheduled service visit will begin with a review of the log.
Critical On-Line Support
A service specialist will be made available to aid in analyzing problems and recommending possible solutions. This service often eliminates the need for an on-site visit, saving you time and money. This feature is offered during a customer specific time frame.
Critical On-Site Support
A service specialist will be made available for emergency response to minimize downtime due to equipment failure. This feature is offered during a customer specific time frame. Prepaying for these hours allows you to budget for emergency calls or special projects.
System Database Protection
The stored electronic information (programming, set points, etc.) in your system represents a large part of your investment. ECC will backup your entire database on a regular basis to ensure that it is always complete and up-to-date. We will maintain a site copy at your facility as well as keeping a protected copy in our office.
Software and Firmware Upgrades
Alerton periodically releases software updates that provide added features or speed to your system. ECC will provide these upgrades as they become available, always keeping your system current. To increase the building systems efficiency, ECC will provide software/hardware engineering for a predetermined number of hours, control points or zones, to allow for additional HVAC equipment, or new additions such as lighting and irrigation zones to the Alerton Energy Management System.
Parts Coverage
ECC can warranty any and all parts associated with your control system, including computers and other manufacturers' equipment.
Proactive Maintenance
Preventative maintenance will lengthen the overall life of the equipment and ensure the building is functioning as efficiently as possible. Computer performance, network speed, and sensor calibration are just a few of the items that can benefit from regular service attention.
Systems Commissioning
Over time, performance of critical field devices can degrade. Verification of controlled component operation is an effective way to maximize building efficiency. This is accomplished via the system software and physical verification. ECC can individually activate and verify critical system components and document their performance. "Hands-on" inspection of these devices in action ensures the most efficient and comfortable environment.
Performance Testing
ECC can use our knowledge of systems and programming to make system changes that increase comfort and efficiency. Over the years, systems can be modified or changed to a point where they are not performing at optimum efficiency. We can review the system specifications and make the necessary corrections to optimize your facility's performance.

ABB Drives Warranty Repair Service
ECC is a Drives Service and Support (DSS) partner for ABB Drives. We have qualified and experienced technicians who are trained to perform warranty service on ABB ACH550 and ACH400 drives. In the event of a problem, we can troubleshoot your ABB drive and restore it to operation quickly.
ABB Drive Start Ups
Our qualified and experienced technicians are trained to perform start ups of ABB ACH 550 drives for your HVAC systems. By using ECC technicians to start up your ABB Drives, you will receive an additional year on your standard 1-year warranty. We have performed thousands of successful drive start ups.

Energy Savings Retrofit Projects
ECC can perform retrofits of your current facility's HVAC system, with little or no impact to your day to day facility operations. We've performed the following types of retrofits:
- DDC HVAC controls for older pneumatic or electric HVAC controls
- VFD's for Fan Inlet Guide Vanes
- Higher SEER Condensing Units for older inefficient condensing units
- Premium Efficiently Motors for inefficient motors
Training can come in three main formats: Factory training at the Alerton Headquarters, on-site training at your schedule, or training at an ECC office location. ECC can sponsor your employees at the Alerton factory for 1-2 week classes or alternately, set up smaller blocks of training at your site. Additional training can be purchased to refresh your current knowledge and to update you concerning new features that become available in future versions of your system.
